Conroe ISD celebrated the beginning of the 2017-18 school year, the District’s 125th year, on Monday, August 14, at the annual Celebrate Our Schools Assembly. Each year, this gathering is an exciting time for the CISD family to come together to usher in a new school year.

In addition to celebrating the new school year, everyone who attends the assembly has the opportunity to donate to the Montgomery County Food Bank with every dollar raised allowing the Food Bank to purchase 11 pounds of food.

The students even joined Dr. Stockton on stage for a flash mob prior to his presentation.

Dr. Stockton also shared an interview with Cuneeda Freeman, a special education teacher at Galatas Elementary, that illuminated her journey to becoming a teacher.

At the conclusion of the assembly, Dr. Stockton announced his retirement for the end of the school year sharing heart-felt sentiments about how much his time in CISD has meant to him.
