Employee Benefits Updates
Group Health Plan
Beginning September 1, 2022, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) will replace UnitedHealthcare as administrator of the Conroe ISD group medical plan. We are pleased to report that with this change, two HMO plans with lower premiums will be available, and there will be no premium change to the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Please use the links below to view the BCBSTX health plan options for the 2022-2023 plan year. Pharmacy benefits will remain with OptumRx as part of your medical plan enrollment.
Annual Enrollment July 1-31
Every employee must enroll in or decline benefits for the 2022-2023 plan year by July 31, 2022. Elections take effect September 1, 2022, and will continue through August 31, 2023. Packets containing the annual enrollment brochure and 2022-2023 Employee Benefits Quick Reference Guide were mailed to arrive at your home the week of June 20, 2022. Please visit the Annual Enrollment section below for more details.
Conroe ISD Employee Health & Wellness Center
The Conroe ISD Employee Health & Wellness Center is closing. The last day to receive care will be Saturday, August 27, 2022. If you currently use the Center for primary care, you will need to locate a primary care physician (PCP) within your plan’s network. If you use the Center for acute care to treat minor illnesses and injuries, we encourage you to consider using BCBSTX Virtual Visits through MDLIVE® beginning September 1, 2022. These visits are free to Blue Premier HMO and Blue Essentials HMO members and at a low cost to Blue Choice PPO HDHP members. Or visit a local convenience clinic or urgent care center in your plan’s network.

Employee Assistance Program
Life can be a juggling act. It takes time and energy to balance your work, family, and personal challenges. To help manage life’s daily challenges, Conroe ISD is pleased to make the SupportLinc employee assistance program (EAP) available to you. The program offers confidential, professional support and resources at no cost to you and your family (any member of your household and your children up to age 26, even if the child does not live with you).
Concerns an EAP can help with include: anxiety, anger management, depression, family counseling, grief, job stress, marital concerns, stress management, substance abuse, and work-life balance. Watch the orientation video to learn more.
To get started, call 1-800-475-3EAP (3327) or connect online using the button below. You can contact SupportLinc anytime, day or night, 365 days a year.
Read the Linc Line Spring 2021 Quarterly Newsletter, also available in Spanish, for tips on managing COVID-19 fatigue, recharging by unplugging, and incorporating mindfulness into your routine.
